I just want to stay home and be under the covers. but I have to go to my last class of the semester - thanks to Allah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm losing a little bit of my motivation actually. I need to know I can still do it :s I ate dates last night too which is a big no-no, but I am getting a little tired. Maybe it is time for Phase 2 soon. Anyway, I think I'm also tired of thinking about dinner. It gets old after a while. I still love the gym so hopefully that won't die down. I'm going away next weekend (not tomorrow, the weekend afetr) and I'm freaked out that I'm going to spend all night up with friends eating chips :s aaaaaah! I am going to get rid of all the freaking choc pudding from my house. They are too tempting and actually make me feel sick afterwards. I have to make sure I don't just roll out of bed at 8:10, run to catch the 8:40 bus and make it to work with bloodshot eyes for 9:15 - like I normally do. Next week marks a healthy new chapter in my life!! I'm thinking back to the first couple of days on the diet and of exercising and I'm so glad we're over that hump. It was tough I think, and I'm tired of having to go back to that feeling where you &lt;em&gt;just&lt;/em&gt; want to start dieting... that's over too isA!! We're not going back girls!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also don't know what it is, but I've lost my apetite today. Actually even though I ate last night, I didn't really feel like it. I get hungry but I don't want to eat. It's 11:12 a.m. right now and I haven't had breakfast yet cuz I just dont feel like it. I think it's a combo of exercising a lot and my bakshak coming soon that has made me not lose that much on the scale. So, I am going to stop being annoying about it. BUT I BETTER GO DOWN 10 VERY SOON. lol&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have a pizza lunch meeting at work today.. *yikes* so I'm going to eat a lot at breakfast to be full for noon isA. &lt;em&gt;Update: Didn't eat a pizza!!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3 eggs scrambled with veggies and turkey breast (b-fast and lunch)&lt;br /&gt;1 can regular ginger ale&lt;br /&gt;tall nf decaf latte with 2 pumps sf vanilla&lt;br /&gt;very little bit of left over chicken&lt;br /&gt;bean salad&lt;br /&gt;3 choc pudding cups *SHOCK HORROR*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 2L&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 60 min cardio&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Update: &lt;/em&gt;So that freaking trout was DISGUSTING. The only seafood I will ever cook is shrimp in a stiry fry. Fish is disgusting unless &lt;em&gt;someone else&lt;/em&gt; cooks it for you. period. Anyway, so I just ate a little bit of left over chicken, then I was like that's it I won't eat for the rest of the night. Then I couldn't help it, so I ate THREE chocolate puddings (ff of course :p). BIG MISTAKE. They were disgusting ad I couldn't even pull it off; look at how idiotic I was cooking it. Ugh - it tasted and smelt so much like mashed chick pea (which it should I guess). Anyway, that was a no-no. SO then I made a mixed bean salad, which turned out well and satisified me :) How do I justify the puddings? I did a &lt;em&gt;full hour&lt;/em&gt; of cardio today and it felt fabulous. Wish me luck isA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am so peveed however. I think I am doing something majorly wrong. I sneaked a peek on the scale today and I don't think I lost more than 2lb! In a week!! And I didn't cheat all week, PLUS I have been a gym BUM. I am sooo disappointed with myself. Not enough to fall off the bandwagon, but enough to be really down :( I even thought about not eating all day and just having dinner, but I got soo hungry I decided to have an early dinner (I was running for 50 min today people!) Anyway, woe is me and all that I guess.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Update: I have been SOOOOO hungry today. My stomach has been growling all day even though I ate a lot, and I jus can't seem to be full at all. I don't know what to do. Plus I'm hella cranky... I think we all know what it's time for :( That might explain the dismal scale reading ....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs with cheese and veggie slices&lt;br /&gt;Tea with skim milk&lt;br /&gt;chicken breast with 1 tbsp skim plain yogurt and shredded nf mozarella cheese&lt;br /&gt;unsalted cashews&lt;br /&gt;1 hot dog&lt;br /&gt;More chicken because starvation ensued&lt;br /&gt;Fat-free tapioca pudding cup&lt;br /&gt;(I'll make that trout yet! I think I'm going to make trout fillet today. It's been sitting in my freezer for about 2 weeks now!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I weigh myself again day after tomorrow. It's, again, a little nerve wracking. I'm glad it's going by fast though. I was thinking about long term and I think I'm going to do Phase 1 for another 2 weeks after Tuesday. After that I can't wait to bring in fruit and whole wheat bread. It'll make me feel less deprived. I was also thinking about how &lt;em&gt;sad&lt;/em&gt; it was that I'm excited to reach 170lb!! That was my heaviest last year, and now I am actually looking fwd to being that weight 'cause it will be an accomplishment to reach it!! I think blogging and knowing others are reading your progress, blogging with you is a HUGE plus. A big motivator fo sho. Am going to the gym early this morning because I have a very busy day ahead of me and I don't want to make up any excuses for not going today. Mondays are my days off from the gym isA, except I think I should change that to Friday soon...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I intended to make this a happy healthy day, but I ended up running around all day and didn't eat anything. Kinda disappointed in myself. Mainly for cheating this week - on WEEK ONE. Who cheats in Week One? My self-disciplne is going to the dogs people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's going to be one long road...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;left-over shrimp stir-fry (woke up at noon)&lt;br /&gt;cherry tomatoes with hummus&lt;br /&gt;3 figs (no, not allowed)&lt;br /&gt;chicken with spinach and cottage cheese stuffing and veggies in the oven&lt;br /&gt;1 cup choc pudding&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 2L YAY!!&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 30 min cardio&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BY JOVE I'm going to stick to this and lose at least five pounds this week if I have to gouge something (will probably be a zucchini). Ameen ya rab.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Update: I'm cooking my chicken-spinach as we speak and it's making our place smell yummy :) Here is the recipe:&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4 Skinless, boneles Chicken breasts&lt;br /&gt;1 clove garlic&lt;br /&gt;1 cup Cottage Cheese (low or non fat)&lt;br /&gt;1/2 Yellow Onion, chopped&lt;br /&gt;1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed&lt;br /&gt;Seasoning&lt;br /&gt;Olive oil, vinegar&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Pre-heat oven to 350&lt;br /&gt;2. Squeeze the excess water out of the spinach and mix it with the garlic, onion and the cottage cheese&lt;br /&gt;3. Season the chicken any way you want (today I used balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, roasted chicken seasnoning)&lt;br /&gt;4. Place a scoop of the cheese/spinach mix into the centre of teh chicken and fold it. Secure with a toothpick&lt;br /&gt;5. Place the chicken into a baking dish. I normally spray the dish with some cooking spray lined with 1/2 slice onion&lt;br /&gt;6. Chop some veggies - green/red/orange peppers, zucchini, mushrooms etc and put them in&lt;br /&gt;the dish&lt;br /&gt;7. Weigh day tomorrow! I think I messed up royally, though. Already. I woke up this morning feeling really full (I cheated AGAIN last night with my mom's lasgna - hey, she &lt;em&gt;never&lt;/em&gt; makes it. I had to have a piece. Or two). Feeling really full in the morning is really gross and this is the first day I experience it since I've been on this diet. Means one thing - probably zero weight loss this week. Which sucks because I have been working really hard this week (minus last two days!). And all that freaking running at the gym!!! *grrrr* I'm going to go pretty light from now on... and exactly one hour of gym time. She shared an amazing recipe for ROTI! Can you believe it - ROTI that's legit on SB and for Phase 1! Neese gave it to her originally.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I haven't tried it yet, but I can't wait to. I think I have that under control finally! I'm still tempted by cheetos and chocolate, but am able to keep it under control. I'm not craving bread at all though.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's the plan for tonight; I'm going to have a heavier lunch than dinner because like I said, I'm going to a pot luck isA tonight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs with 3 mushrooms and 1 green onion stalk&lt;br /&gt;unsalted roasted cashews&lt;br /&gt;chicken stir fry with salad&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Update:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; THEN A WHOLE LOT OF CRAP I TOTALLY DIDN'T NEED :(&lt;br /&gt;non-fat cafe latte&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 2L (yay!)&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 50 min cardio; 15 min weights&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel really bad about all the extra food I ate at the party tonight (3 small cupcakes *GASP*). I feel terrible about it actually... but I promise to make it up tomorrow at teh gym PLUS not eat a big dinner or lunch. Very small and light. My stomach actually feels like I did something wierd tonight because it was getting used to little food and now I have a bit of an ache, and that extra full feeling is very uncomfortable. I am trying hard to work on my abs especially because I have a nice little gut that I've developed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 hot dogs (was in a rush this morning!)&lt;br /&gt;1 cheese stick&lt;br /&gt;Grande non-fat latee from Starbucks (mmmmm!)&lt;br /&gt;green salad with 2 slices lean smoked Turkey breast&lt;br /&gt;2 handfuls unsalted cashews&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs with 1 slice lean smoked Turkey breast&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 1L&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 1 hour cardio&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so I didn't cook tonight. My sister and I went to the gym and we didn't get back until 8 p.m. I was hoping the cashews would tide me over until tomorrow, but it seems I am getting hungry again. Ugh. So I'm going to have some more turkey breast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to a pot luck tomorrow... wish me luck! I woke up massively hungry. I think I am just getting into carb and sugar withdrawal. I really needed chocolate today. I felt a bit down today because I know there is such a LONG road ahead of me to get to my ideal weight or even half way to my ideal weight. I miss poutine... and chocolate... and eating whenever I want. But I just can't go back to those old eating habits - they make me fat! I'm about half way to finishing a week on Phase 1. Last time I lost quite a bit in the first week and it showed.. I'm worried it won't happen this time. Then again I am heavier this time around... *sigh* Here's praying.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs with mushrooms&lt;br /&gt;Lots of tea today! -- 2 earl greys with skim milk, 1 decaf tea with milk, 3 Turkish teas&lt;br /&gt;1 cheese stick&lt;br /&gt;left over chicken stir fry&lt;br /&gt;red pepper sticks with hummus&lt;br /&gt;spiced ground beef meatballs with 2 small zucchinis, 1/2 green pepper, 1 onion, mushrooms, cooked in the oven&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 1L&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 30 min cardio; 15 min weights and floor exercises&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm thinking of shrimp fr tomorrow... but it hasn't even thawed yet! I bought this marinade to use also. Maybe I'll make cottage cheese/spinach chicken instead and have the shrimp on Saturday. I'm really enjoying the gym. Unfortunately, I am a big scale freak. Last time I went on this diet I was weighing myself every single day, but I don't have the will to do that this time around. I'll &lt;em&gt;know&lt;/em&gt; I'm losing weight as soon as my old clothes start fitting and butt stops jutting out of my sweaters!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm trying to avoid eating after 6pm if I can, so I've managed to cook and eat everything today by around 5pm.  There's also a Body Pump class tonight that I would love to go check out.. at 7:30pm.  I hope I can get there on time; apparantly that class gets filled up fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Today:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs with mushrooms&lt;br /&gt;1 Earl Grey with skim milk&lt;br /&gt;2 small tomotoes with hummus&lt;br /&gt;Greek salad&lt;br /&gt;1 cheese stick&lt;br /&gt;chicken breast stir fry with mixed veggies (I used an instant stir fry mix and then realized why it tasted so yummy.. the second ingredient on the pckg was SUGAR!! Even went to the gym!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 eggs cooked in virgin olive oil and mushrooms&lt;br /&gt;2 cheese sticks&lt;br /&gt;parmesano chicken breast and green salad&lt;br /&gt;Earl Grey tea with skim milk (x 2)&lt;br /&gt;stir fry beef with onions&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Water: 1 L&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: 30 min of cardio; 10 min weights&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;The trick is to make sure you always have nosh with you to make sure you don't have to buy food since you can get a bit hungry.  I bought two ready-made salads because I am so lazy to make it myself, and hummus from the grocery store. I was exercising almost every day and feeling very good with the compliments I was getting. I went through a bit of a rough spot and started to eat (my reaction when depressed). I gained all the weight and then some. I am 5'5'' and 180lb. I'm lucky in that I carry my weight pretty well, so even though I am chubby-looking, I'm not "huge." Anyway, for sure I don't feel well about myself and I'm ready for a change.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I'm back at it! I had a great experience with South Beach last year and believe in it. I've also joined a women's gym which I plan to exercise at every day (except Fridays).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;And here are my goals:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Current weight - 180lb&lt;br /&gt;Desired weight - 140lb&lt;br /&gt;Total to lose - 40 lb&lt;br /&gt;Date to lose by - May 2006&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Detailed goals:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Desired weight on December 30 - 160 lb **I like to go strict the first few months because that's when my motivation is highest**&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Desired weight on February 28 - 150 lb&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Desired weight on March 31 - 145 lb&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#006600;"&gt;Desired weight on May 15 - 140 lb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found the most helpful things was to write down everything I ate everyday. This kept me in check and I could see what worked and didn't work for me. So in this blog, besides writing down what Ia m going through each day, I will also write down what I've eaten.
